4th of July Camping

I cannot believe it is the last week of June! This month has flown by with the end of school, dance recitals, field trips, etc. It always feels like a hectic last month of the school year.

We are kicking off the summer with a camping trip to Mount Rainier. We always take one big trip a year with a big group of friends and family and this will be a big one. We are going for four nights to a campground with no running water! Eeek! It is a gorgeous place and as someone who grew up in Alaska without running water or electricity for a period of time I think I can handle it.

I am so looking forward to just hanging out, enjoying my family and friends and unplugging. It is so hard for me to do, but it is important to take that time to get off social media, email and everything that is a distraction.

I know that for many of you this is the heart of your busiest time of year with weddings every weekend, but I encourage you to take a day, even a couple of hours to turn it all off. It makes you a better business owner, I promise!
